All SkyVerge team members will receive healthcare benefits from the company. For our US team members, this will come as a plan offering via TriNet–and for international team members, we’ll work together to set up a comparable healthcare offering.
Healthcare is provided via our co-employment with TriNet. They provide several plans for team members to choose from based on your geographical location, and team members can enroll as part of the on-boarding process. New employees are eligible immediately after successful completion of their trial period–there is no waiting period.
Open enrollment (for new sign ups and plan switching) is available in April. Enrollment can also be opened for certain major life events like marriage, birth, etc. Reach out to Catherine to check with our TriNet representative see if an event qualifies.
Health Insurance – Monthly Contribution Amounts
We contribute 80% of the monthly premium for medical, dental, and vision insurance. The additional cost of your plan not covered by us will automatically be deducted on a pre-tax basis from your pay, according to your plan selection. TriNet has a great ‘compare plans’ feature that will show you the different options. We’ll cover 80% up to the specific dollar caps listed below:

- Disability insurance (short-term = 50% of wages, taxable. long-term = 50% of wages, tax-free. premiums are company-paid)
Healthcare for non-US team members will be comparable to what’s offered to US residents, depending on your country of residence. This may be in the form of purchasing a plan in your country, or purchasing supplemental insurance.
For example, Canadian residents have healthcare coverage through the government. We then purchase a supplemental insurance plan via TriNet to offer similar plan coverage to US residents.
Healthcare for international team members will be set up on a case-by-case basis.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
For US team members, you will see an option to set up an FSA while electing your coverage through TriNet. An FSA is an account to set aside pre-tax money for out-of-pocket medical expenses, like prescriptions, over-the-counter medicine, vision care, etc. You’ll need to decide up front how much money you want to put in the account (minimum $200/year, maximum $2400/year.)
